Jihlava — once one of the most important cities of the Kingdom of Bohemia and the oldest royal town in the Czech lands — is intrinsically linked to silver mining. This nature trail passes through the places with the most visible remains of mining to bring visitors closer to the bygone glory of silver mining.
From the parking lot at the crematorium, take the street Pod rozznou to the left. This is where the beginning of the route is located. The route contains 10 stops with information boards. From station 6 we recommend going down the ski slope — from the lift station to the right to board no. 7. Return to the lift station and follow the road towards Zborná to board no. 8. Continue towards the local road leading to Zborná and turn left towards the restaurant “U Lyžaře”. Under the restaurant, take the first forest road on the right (signpost) and from there follow the marked path up to post no. 9 and no. 10. This is where the closed loop of the Mining Nature Trail ends.
