Jihlava - Polna - Dobronin - Střítez - Jihlava

The trip will take us to Historic city of Polna, famous for important architectural monuments, rich history as well as a famous local delicacy - Polish carrots.

From Jihlava we will go along the river Jihlava, ascend to Velký Beranov, then through Kozlov to Rytířsko until Ždírka.

Interesting stops along the route: Butcher's shop near Mátlé in Kozlov offering products from their farm breeding, company Batepo in Ždírec producing quality socks not only for athletes and cyclists.

When passing through Věžnička, take note of the historical Stone cellars (so-called lochs) excavated in the hillside directly on the village side along the main road. To this day it is used to store agricultural crops.

We arrive in Polná along the Březina forest, in which it is located symbolic grave of Agnes of Horrors associated with the infamous “hilsneriad”. We will learn about this process when visiting Regional Jewish Museum. In Polná we recommend visiting the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its unique Baroque decoration, the Jewish town and the cemetery, the local museum and the castle. For lunch, be sure to stop at the Burgher Brewery, where Bohumil Hrabal spent part of his childhood. Be sure to return to Polná, one trip will not be enough for you to get to know this city.

We continue to Dobronín. It is definitely worth a visit František Novák glassworks, which specializes in producing replicas of historic glass. You can recognize it simply, by the large bunch of glass balls in front of the house. Ride your bike further towards the About Horses Nature Trail. You can definitely not miss it, it is decorated with a statue of a fairytale horse by sculptor Michal Olšiak. There are more than two dozen similar sculptures in Vysočina, most of them can be found in Žďársko. Ranch at the Lost Horseshoe Upon prior arrangement, it also offers the possibility of horseback riding.

Late Baroque is worth a visit in Sřítez Church of St. Florian with an unusual octagonal cusp, you can find it in a local cemetery. From Střítež we are heading along the large logistics center Jipocar to the Červený Kříž part of Jihlava, before Červený Kříž we turn to Pávov. We pass along Peacock Pond and Camping, from here on the modern cycle path comfortably back to Jihlava.
