Cycling with gusto to Kolnička

The most popular cycle ride of all Jihlavans traditionally runs along the Jihlava — Třebíč — Raabs cycle path to Luk nad Jihlavou. We leave the street Helenínská and connect to the cycle path. We pass the Jihlava wastewater treatment plant and in Helenín also the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts on the opposite bank of the river. Through the railway crossing we get to the forest section of the bike path, after which we will comfortably reach Malý Beranov. Here we are waiting for the only short section, where the bike path leads along the local road. After less than 350 meters, we again enter the picturesque forest environment. We pass a rock, often used by climbers to practice the necessary skills. We continue through Bradlo, the cottage area of Jeclov to the Petrovický mill, which is a popular accommodation facility. Here we will continue on smooth asphalt until Luk nad Jihlavou. This stretch of bike path is also ideal for roller skating lovers. Less than a kilometer before the destination we meet the pumptrack, where we can venture out or we can take a rest by the river and observe the lazy flowing river. The destination of most bikers heading to Luk is the famous restaurant Kettle with the newly opened Pension Kolna. Its gastronomy is famous and it is also rightfully included on Lukáš Hejlík's Gastromap. From Luk nad Jihlavou you can take away a healthy regional souvenir — the local farm is engaged in processing in addition to milk processing Sea buckthorn and products from it. You can buy them at the farm vending machine on the square, right next to the bus stop. In Luky you can visit the museum, the church of St. Bartholomew or in the summer a very popular swimming pool. You can use the train to return from Luk to Jihlava. This trip is ideal for families and with small children.

More skilled cyclists can continue further to Bítovčice and Přímělkov to the romantic ruins of Rokštejn Castle. In Přímělkov it is again possible to choose a combination with a train for the return.
