We begin at the Gate of the Mother of God, the only preserved of the original five city gates, which is open to the public as an observation tower. We will walk to Gustav Mahler Park, past the Dukla cinema, Tyršova Street, through Keťásek Park to the sports and relaxation center Český Mlyn. We cross the river over the bridge at the waterway and turn right on the bike path. We pass the Robinson family park, an ideal place for active recreation with children, and we get to the Art Nouveau bridge over the river Jihlava. We turn to the church of St. John the Baptist, the oldest in Jihlava, whose construction began before 1200. The original Jihlava settlement was located here. From the church we head over the Art Nouveau bridge from the 20th century, connect to the red tourist sign and reach Helenín. We know from history that Karl Löw, a personality of the draper craft and modernisation of the textile industry, became the owner of factories in Helenín and Malý Beranov. If we turn from the red tourist sign to the bridge beyond the cottage area near the rock in Helenín, we will come to a nature trail that will bring us closer to Löw's life. Above the bridge there is also the Löw viewpoint, which overlooks the entire campus of the Central School of Arts and Crafts. Follow the red sign along the river to Malý Beranov and from there by public transport bus no. 12 back to Jihlava.
